Family Readiness Officer

Welcome to the VMM-163 Evil Eyes Family!

On behalf of the Commanding Officer, Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron VMM-163, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to our family.

My name is Ashleigh Thrasher and I’m your Family Readiness Officer (FRO) for VMM-163. It is my pleasure and privilege to help provide you with the tools and resources to make your Military journey a little easier. I would like to take this time to tell you a little about myself. I have been married to my Corpsman for 8 years and I have a 13 year old step-daughter. Our family has traveled from the East coast to the West coast and it’s my hope that my many experiences will help me support you.

As the Family Readiness Officer, I serve as the communication link between the VMM-163 families and the Command team. I am your advocate and resource to things such as: financial support, child care, counseling, spouse employment, volunteer opportunities, deployment support and so much more. I am here to help you succeed in the Military way of life, by giving you the resources and tools to do so.

I want to make sure you feel a part of the Evil Eyes Family. One of the best ways to do that is to get involved. I encourage you to get involved and attend the different events we host at the squadron. Friends made through the Marine Corps are FRIENDS FOR LIFE! Please let me know if you are interested in joining our volunteer team-we are always looking for dedicated volunteers.
